This board was laying in a corner of my friends office the other
day .. it's a local shape from back in the seventies, the shaper was a

was a legit skier too, I would even gamble he might have crossed paths
with wintersticks very own Demetri Milovich... D.M. grew up about 25
miles south of where I grew up, and would be a few hours drive to this
shapers' local beach....due to this proximity....DM's style and designs
could have influenced this shaper, or vise versa...after all DM was a
landlocked frustrated surfer hence the surf jargon 'stick' name ...Who
knows .... Either way that board is so cool, and light as a
feather...strange...

What does the bottom look like shape-wise? Does it actually have any concave? Or is it vee bottom? Reminds me a bit of my Channin Singlefin with an elongated swallow tail. I bet you a board like this would be good on big days with a real flexible, raked longboard fin to get that power off your bottom turn.
ReplyDeletedidn't get a good look at bottom, would love to ride it tho..
