sidecut

...received a few pics from Kirk at FOAM and FUNCTION based in LA... They were sent to him from Australian surfboard shaper Mick Mackie.... If you surf you seen Mick's surfboards in Glass love and other Kidman movies.. If you don't surf, well he's a real good shaper.. But what always intrigued me about mackies is his ability to blend surfboard and snowboard designs... sidecut, flex, textured decks, etc... He's on his own path ....in addition I believe he's made a few bindingless pow surfboards too... I love this pic he took of the drop!!! If your interested in more, and live near Santa Cruz, CA.. You can stop by the Sacred Craft Show at the Rittenhouse today!!!... Kirk's there right now with a few of Mick's board.. And there's even a December powder surfer somewhere mixed in with all the surfboards...fun stuff ... Thanks Kirk!!

    Good to see your blog again Kev....China tends to block blog sites but I've managed to get around it here and there.

    The snow arena is closed until September so I can't snowskate until it's warm? Looking to go to the mountains outside Beijing but we will see.

    Aaron- I believe shot was taken by Mick in Hokkaido .. Those are difineyly tracks in bavkground.. Frothing !!
