weekend Video FRAME GRABS-never bindings

sat. afternoon, the calm before the storm...
it got deep

powder bi-deck and a powderstick

50" powderstick / decembersurfskate

125cm floridapowderskate sub with a 40" december topdeck (sick sub)

going about 90 mph in this last shot :)

riding a snowskate in powder is the best, if you grew up snowboarding you would put money down, that it wouldn't work......it just can't work..,..but it does, and its magic

if you surf and snowskate, and you don't have a powder sub (like a floridapowderskate) or a powderstick/ or powder surfboard/ or a powder single deck, whatever people call them ,you really really need to try one, they both ride differently, but the thrill is the same..

....its like 6' @ 20 secs...

and if your just a surfer, you gotta get one, it will cure any flat spell issues....

contact decembersnowskates@gmail.com if you want to demo one of these boards..

contact fps to buy a powder sub directly

for a powdersnowsurfboard theres a couple of people making them.. Jordan at circuit snowskates is making them, so is wolle nyvelts companying "aesmo", I'll set up links shortly for their sites..

and I'm moving past prototypes and will custom make a few for any interested shredders, starting in January.
its all good, you just need to get a hold of one, you will be shocked...I even remember my friend Senan showing me a clip back in the mid-nineties of a dude in Jackson hole riding a thruster down a mountainside with fins and all...he was absolutely killing it...
.
now, is a good time to ride anything without bindings...

big conditions

...about 26" of snow fell in 14 hours, making for a powder sunday...snowshoed in and rode all morning, never made it to the ocean, sounds like it was real fun at the beach too

today's surfline report

6-8 ft +
head high + to 3 ft. overhead
FAIR TO GOOD CONDITIONS
the report for Sunday afternoon
PM Regional Overview:Mixed direction windswell continues this afternoon. Winds are NW around 15kts with higher gusts resulting in mostly clean/textured conditions. Still some solid surf coming through in the overhead range at the better breaks.

more to come about how the boards rode....

here's a first: had to wear snowshoes to walk down my street today (the town won't plow the dirt road I live on) passed on postholing

our little coastal holy grail::::swell and snowskate tomorrow

if things go according to plan, hike in and ride at first light, and then go surfing when the winds mellow out....would be sweet, who knows...forecasted to get a foot and half of snow locally, normally this would bring monster surf too...but this storms acting alittle different....

alaia, singlefin, foam finless whaler hull glassless surfboard, powdersingle, and lakeside's old s'skate

hunting, searching, recycling

we get some monster floods in the local bays at times ...a few years ago this bulkhead / dock ripped off it's original position and floated about a hundred yards into the marsh...this past fall I have been dying to make a finless surf board with the bottom shaped like a boston whalers' hull... I knew this old dock had some super thick blue foam between the joists..it would be plenty thick to sculpt a boat hull into it....today I walked back there to claim some foam...the real clean piece i snapped trying to pull it out to fast, but the other piece, a real nasty one, came out in one piece, its over 20 inches wide 8 inches thick, and 6 feet long...perfect, it'll probably never come to fruition but I'm gonna try....
the inspector

it was dark when i finally freed the damn piece... (some how it's bolted a 2x6, i had to chip away with sheetrock hammer/hachet don't ask why I had that in my hand)
