Since 2009 I have been tinkering with idea of surfing snow and water with the same board. Not very ground breaking but a fun concept.. So far my favorite idea (and the cheapest) is just a veneer of wood laminated on both sides of a blank piece of 2" thick insulation foam. Board works well finless but this summer we're adding fins and sealing the rails.. Here's a video Jeremy shot last fall of one of these finless models, on a rather weak surf day..

.... suprisingly decent swell for memorial day wknd. Small but super oily with a light crowd. We've had waves for days and the call is for more swell this week. Very lucky for this time of year

Jeremy from Grassroots Powder Surfing, sent in this cool early summer shot, along with the message; "I tried to do some snowskating via snowmobile last weekend but we got shut down by rocks and dry ground."
