quick clip of Sean K. putting a SINGLE snowskate to work

...posted Joe riding a bi-deck snowskate the other day, here's Sean riding a SINGLE snowskate... for those who aren't fimilar with snowskating, there are quite a few types of snowskates, all based on two different styles: Singles and Bi-decks.. Singles are simple 'skate-deck' like boards that ride on snow anywhere, however "singles" are not accepted by most resorts, so they are used in urban settings...Bi-decks snowskates are usually bigger, they have a larger then normal skateboard deck (top-deck) mounted to a sub-deck or "ski" with metal edges that does all the edging on the snow...these are widely accepted by ski resorts as long as a leash is involved...both are a pisser....its worth trying both and to have both types in your winter quiver...sorry if i'm preaching to choir..thanks for clip Sean ...looked like fun

Sean's riding a custom december snowskate at about 38" x 9" with a sintered base and three channels

PS there are POWDER versions of both too....

Ye olde backyard alaia snapped today for third time

Only reason I'm posting this shot is that it continues to break on the grain, and not the glue seam...Which is great news because it's the same glue I use to glue up the decks: extremely strong and waterproof... Which is asking alot from a glue ...

Swung by k2's today

...got the call that his new deck was set-up!

Indy trucks
77mm sector nine wheels
angled risers

I got to take it for a test run

my take: smooth, fast and real flexible.... 7ply at 18" wheelbase makes for a comfy springy ride...lots of fun

putting the band back together

showed up at my good friend Joe C.'s office last week to deliver his new TEAM deck...i figured i film a quick interview with him, I peppered him with questions about his life of board riding, he wasn't psyched to be filmed in his work get up, but I thought its cool to see legit riders in the real world.. as a teenager Joe was part of a serious skate scene in Philly, and one of his first sponsers was H-street... sorry about the angle, getting use to my new camera...

Two things about Joe, he will give you his shirt off his back, and the dude can flat out skateboard...we're stoked to have him on the december snowkate team, now I gotta break him the news that burton doesn't make snowskates anymore...haha ( i think he was just busting my chops) hope to have some footy of him riding his new deck shortly..

thanks for checking in, hope everyones scoring good waves, or snow, or cement somewhere..

Simple video of the cambered deck

...here's , simple look at the flexdeck, I used the point and skate method, doesn't translate how fast and smooth the deck can ride, but at the very end you can see how it flexes

Camber shots

Been meaning to throw a level on this deck, to show camber, doesn't look like a ton of rocker, but it's just right, camber peaks forward of midpoint... Been working real well as of late
