Uncut, zero concave, slight camber, nose and tail kick, handmade, hydraulically pressed 35x8.5" blank

Popped this one out of the mold tonight, 7 ply maple, this will be a classic wood 70's skateboard, after this deck, building one more custom skateboard for lakeside, and then gears are going to shift to building snowskates... Things are good ...

Today, protected and doable

Stretching the limits of the zoom on my phone

New swell

Woke up late today, swell has been on the rise for a day or two, my ear has been bugging me since the past swell, so wasn't sure if I was interested in going today, when swell gets to a certain size here our beachbreaks shut down, luckily there are some local options... But with the late start my initial option was out.. So went to option number two, on the way there I noticed SUP'rs surfing a waist high wave in the bay. This means the swell was squeezing itself thru little cuts of land and fanning back out on the bay's shoals, into rideable surf... After seeing this ...Thought the shadowed protected spot was gonna be close-out and sloppy , but it wasn't that bad, the shadow took it down a few feet and the wind tore at it less ... Pretty fun actually

The points woke up a bit, three guys paddling for the outside

If u enlarge pic, look by the orange float there's a guy diving for lobsters

Another inspiring find

... Nothing better then snooping around a lifelong waterman's garage ( he's an active fisherman, mat rider, surfer, paddleboarder, swimmer, snowboarder, triathloner, the kind of guy that pedals a singlespeed to work every morning wearing half a business suit, just quietly getting it done everyday ...here's a couple of shots of my favorite piece in there...SWS's personal Powell Peralta, Steve bought this board new back in the day... And it still rides awesome... I absolutely love that era of skateboarding and the shape of that board...bummed i couldn't find his Burton performer (I think that's what he had when we meant in 1988) thanks Stevo (sorry pic is cloudy)

His paddleboard

Love this board
