today...HIKE and POWDERsurfed

hiking in with just a powdersurfskate in your arm is the best, they are so light, and there's no straps flapping around bugging you, just drop it and go...a real magic carpet... make one out of anything and try it, you will love it..

TWO for the NEW YEAR

happy new year, (best of luck and riding conditions this year)

here's two new blanks that came out of the press this week...the one with the darker wood grain might be sold as a single deck for a grom I meet the other day...he fell in love with snowskating immediately after trying mine...even landed an air, 'rather' instantly, his mom was so stoked until she got the full price for a bideck, so for now he'll start with a custom single....(the blond deck will be 39" top deck shortly)

here's Humbolt County's own : JUST ONE enjoy a "december" day...thanks jus..

lots of fun stuff happening lately, there has been sporadic snow, so need to drive inland to snowskate, and the waves have turned on (winter)....first day of 2010: we woke up to chest to shoulder to overhead cylinders grinding down the beach..with a hint of offshore winds...so damn fun...

december POWDERHOUND is going to FRANCE

Marcos works and lives in the Pyrenees, since he lives on a resort, he decided to pick up snowskating in his spare time.

he wasn't sure how much he wanted to commit to snowskating, since its his first attempt at a board sport...matter of fact he just started snowboarding for the first time the other day, and is having a blast, yet he still has the courage and desire to pursue snowskating, very inspiring stuff...I couldn't be happier, we'll see where the powderhound will take him....

snurfer throwback grip a raised 4000 sintered base

NICK"S pics

HERES: some real nice pics sent in by Nick, this castle shot is of the medieval city of Sion...very heavy vibe
..not sure where this water shot was taken, but it too has a sick feel...jealous of those palm trees

great snaps Nick, thank you
hope everyone had a great holiday..

snowskate news:
been riding a 125 floridapowderskate, with a 40" december deck , and rocker trucks, I can't say enough about how fun snowskating is...its the best piece of equipment to walk into a spot, ride all different lines, find drops, or build some kind of kicker, really fun and simple, one of the greatest parts is hiking out, and riding down every down hill you come across, something that snowboarding lacks..the conditions have gotten sloppy lately, but the equipment has been stellar in all weather conditions...the FPS is incredibly made, rocker trucks are bombproof, even the old deck is no worse for wear...email, if interested in demoin'

MERRY CHRISTMAS

ON TUESDAY-still video frame grabs

luckily tuesday had clear skies and there was tons of snow, ...tried to shoot some video to show how the two powder boards rode (one is a bideck with a floridapowderskate sub, and the other a december single powdersurfskateboard) went to this little local hill by the water, that has a sand dune on one side and forest on the other...due to all the onshore winds the past couple of days all the snow on the steep sand dune face was blown clear off...except for some fringy drifty spots, but the snow on the backside was light and perfect... it was a great morning...not a soul around, and tons of open space, the florida powderskate stole the show this day, stupid fun......if you surf you would love powder snowskating....

unfortuantely I haven't been able to convert any mini dvd's as files in my harddrive, when I do I'll post these as videos.
