storm coming, possible snow at higher elevations

and it will mostly cause havoc at this contest which is being held thursday and friday (unfortunately the storms inland track might not offer up the classic waves normally associated with type of weather maker... which is a real bummer)
This competition will require riders to ride 12 pound, single fin leashless boards. It is geared to represent real longboarding!

Some Expected Riders are:Harrison Roach (Australia), Troy Elmore, Chris Del Moro , Jared Mell, Tyler Hatzikian, Alex Knost, Justin Quintal (winner of 2010 ECSC Duct Tape Invitational and ECSC longboard title), Christian Wach, Yuta Sezutsu, Kassie Meador, Tyler Warren, Mikey DeTemple (Long Island), CJ Nelson, Robbie Kegel, JJ Wassels, Nathan Adams (1st Alternate)

Best reason to live here

Snow and waves might be fickle at times, but the clams are always fresh and free!!! ...notice the leaves are changing colors !

Today, the swell figured itself out and the points were perfect, in-between sessions we stopped by this old cement park, and saw one lone grommet just ripping with the Smoothest style....

Beachbreaks looked fun, but...

Fishing school?

Way outside today

I have only seen this once before.... from the end of the block, you could see the mist of the crashing waves plume above the dunes and houses on the barrier island 1.5 miles away ..... I think marine forecast was calling for 12-18' seas today.....felt like a winter storm minus the school closings and a foot or two of snow ...

Slight bend in the beach took it down a peg

Cellphone pics can't grasp the size today

12' bouys-only thing missing today was snow

Rain delay
