The Past Couple of Months now

my brother has been telling me about this movie that combines climbing, surfing, and exploration, called 180 South directed by pro surfer Chris Malloy...

....a few weeks ago I finally saw it. I think about it daily ever since. Somehow the surfing and climbing become secondary to the story...I cannot articulate what I like about this movie, if the trailer captures your attention, then watch the movie, you will truly enjoy it...if you surf you gotta try snowskating this season, and if you snowskate and would like to try surfing beware of surfing, it can ruin your life (or make it)...lots of behind the scenes snowskates stuff going on over here, please send pics of snowskating I'm seriously ready to start focusing on the winter...thanks for checking in, kev

Popped this one out of the mold tonight, 7 ply maple, this will be a classic wood 70's skateboard, after this deck, building one more custom skateboard for lakeside, and then gears are going to shift to building snowskates... Things are good ...

New swell

Woke up late today, swell has been on the rise for a day or two, my ear has been bugging me since the past swell, so wasn't sure if I was interested in going today, when swell gets to a certain size here our beachbreaks shut down, luckily there are some local options... But with the late start my initial option was out.. So went to option number two, on the way there I noticed SUP'rs surfing a waist high wave in the bay. This means the swell was squeezing itself thru little cuts of land and fanning back out on the bay's shoals, into rideable surf... After seeing this ...Thought the shadowed protected spot was gonna be close-out and sloppy , but it wasn't that bad, the shadow took it down a few feet and the wind tore at it less ... Pretty fun actually
